Hello, I’m Raafia Noor Afzal, the founder of BrainyTots. I’d like to take a moment to share why I started this journey, and what makes BrainyTots more than just another learning brand.
Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of working with children’s authors from all over the world—helping bring over 800 book projects to life. Through this, I saw firsthand how powerful a well-designed book can be in shaping how children learn, imagine, and explore the world around them.
But something kept bothering me: while the digital age has opened doors to interactive learning, it has also led to increasing concerns around excessive screen time—especially for young children. That’s when I knew there had to be a better way.
A Screen-Free Spark for Growing Minds
BrainyTots was born out of the desire to revolutionize early childhood STEM education in a way that’s meaningful, fun, and completely unplugged. Based here in the UK, our mission is to offer hands-on, screen-free learning tools that spark curiosity and build lifelong problem-solving skills.
We create interactive books for children aged 4 to 10, each featuring a patented mechanical unlocking mechanism that transforms every page into a puzzle-filled adventure. These are not just books—they’re tactile learning journeys that invite kids to engage, think critically, and explore with their hands and minds.
Learning That Lasts
Our approach is rooted in a simple belief: real learning happens when kids are engaged, curious, and having fun. That’s why our books are curriculum-aligned and gamified, designed to support national learning goals while fostering cognitive growth.
By combining storytelling, STEM, and play, we’re building something that goes beyond worksheets and apps. We’re giving children a space to develop not just academic skills, but also creativity, resilience, and confidence.

With a background in children’s publishing and international business, I’ve made it my mission to bring together strategic thinking and creative design in everything we do at BrainyTots. Each book we create is more than a product—it’s a tool for growth, a spark of imagination, and a way for families to reconnect through playful learning.
